Simon was born in Cheshire and moved to Cornwall in 1992.He trained as an architect in London, qualifying in 1980 and practised for 12 years before turning to painting fulltime.He exhibits his work in Cornwall, Devon, London and on the Continent.His paintings are based on his small drawings selected from hundreds kept in his studio and this is only the starting point.The remembered parts of the scene are important to him the rest is left out leaving the essence of his experience and hence his painting. |
