Since studying illustration at Falmouth School of Art (1990 - 1994), David has been working as a freelance illustrator for a number of well known magazine and book publishers. Having become established in this field, he is now enjoying the freedom of being able to paint subjects of his choice, working in oils. He is inspired by the landscape and animals surrounding his home on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
